Dear Best Friend,

I am writing to you because I want to express how thankful I am for you. You are one of my best friends and I am very grateful for that. We met back in first grade and have remained best friends for almost twelve years. We have minimal fights and when we do get in a fight it doesn’t last more than a day. I hope it continues to stay that way.

You have always been very involved with soccer, track, clubs, and school but still managed to find time to hang out with me. You are always there during the worst of times and still manage to make me laugh from the weirdest things. You know me down to my core. We have gone through so much together and I hope we continue to be there for each other in the years to come!

Now that we are in college and don’t see each other every day, I hope that we continue to remain the best of friends. I know that we will meet new friends at college but no one else will ever understand our pointless, little inside jokes or adventures that we spontaneously took.
