World of Machines

Every day, we are surrounded by things that encourage us to become MACHINES.

We subconsciously obey to the rules given by those who have the ability to manipulate us. It seems that we are often reminded to have good health, yet also to be a “productive” and “useful” member of society. Is it possible to be a productive member of society and have good health at the same time? It seems as though being a “productive member of society” is committing 75% of your life for someone else. We surround ourselves with daily distractions that we have convinced ourselves are important. These distractions quickly push out the important things that ultimately make us happy, which makes it easy to forget. We become comfortable with being controlled.

Is this what we are here for? To become robotic, orderly, obedient? To live for others who belittle us and don’t care about us at all? I constantly ask myself these questions and honestly this is not the life I seek. I seek happiness, truth, love, and kindness — and these cannot be found in a world of machines.
