The Government in the Sunshine Act is the model of this, allowing “journalists and concerned citizens to uncover examples of corruption, conflicts of interest, and abuse.”

I’m so glad to see an article come up about how the Government in the Sunshine Act affects Florida Man, because I’m always the one to point it out to my friends (Floridian here). And exposing corruption is all well and good. However, isn’t there something to be said about how this law could interfere with one’s due process? Exposing details of an arrest before there is even a trial could prejudice a much larger potential jury pool. Particularly when a lot of these crimes the Act ends up exposing are just from weird civilians.
