You know what Verneri Kontto? Fuck ’em. ISIS, the high and almighty internet commenters, the easily offended and the ones trying to blow up (pun intended) shit out of proportion. Fuck ’em all.

This article was not disrespectful, it was not in bad taste and it did not offend me at all. The reason I say that is because unlike the rest of the people that were offended by it. I actually have been through this shit. I have lost a lot of people back home to ISIS.

I’m not the type of person who will talk about my family openly nor am I the type of person to use it to my gain. But fucking hell, the fact that it got to the point where you felt uncomfortable having this article up is so upsetting to me.

At the end of the day, it’s your thoughts and your article and if you truly feel uncomfortable sharing the original article then that’s completely understandable and I also understand that you might not want to upset people further. But I am so sick and tired of people who have no idea what all this drama feels like taking it upon themselves to try and protect the victims from a Medium article.

Go fuck yourselves. You wanna make a difference? Write to your governments and lawmakers. Use your design skills to make shit for social change. Design, develop and create instead of posting a comment saying how this is offending little Raheem in Syria who is obviously just on Medium all day wondering why all these white people hate Uber’s new brand.
