1965/66 PORSCHE 912

Very early Porsche 912, a real find!

Here we have a very early 3-gauge 912 built in September of 1965 per the Kardex. Many in the Porsche community refer to these cars as 65/66 vehicles as it is very difficult to pinpoint when the 65 model year ended and the 66 model year began. These early 912 have a wonderful history which we look forward to sharing with the new owner!

The car shows 40,950 miles on the odometer and is finished in the highly desirable Slate Gray (its original color), which is complemented by its original black vinyl interior. Early in its life the original 616/39 motor (#741463) was replaced with one from a 1969 912 (#4090027), which is mated to the original 902/1 5-speed transmission (#222631). The seats, headliner, and carpets are original and have patina. All lights, blinkers, wipers, gauges and electrical systems function properly. A very presentable example which has lots of potential.

Since arriving at Makellos Classics, the car has been gone through by our Porsche factory trained technicians. The car has been given a thorough detail and is ready to be enjoyed!
