Our 886 Sq Ft Life — Before & Current (And Almost Done)

So, since my last post we decided to get a new all in one gas range/oven with a built in downdraft instead of enlarging the island to accommodate the separate downdraft and gas range/oven that we bought. We ended up getting a Kitchenaid that was reallllllly expensive (pretty much because it was our only option), so I’m ready to get that bad boy hooked up and get cooking on it!

Also, since last post, the floors were sealed with a coat of polyurethane, almost all of our appliances have been installed, countertops installed, pendant lights installed, toilets and sinks installed, bathroom mirrors installed, vanity mirror installed, and all of our light switches and outlets have been installed (yay!)

All that is left is for them to install the gas oven/range, put in the glass pane cabinets in one of our sections of upper cabinets in the kitchen, install the TV, gas longs, put another coat of paint on our drawers in our bedroom storage and add handles to all of those and the bathroom vanities. Then, the trim guys will do one last once over to make sure everything has been smoothed and/or touched up with paint. Lastly, they will clean. All of this is supposed to occur before our furniture gets delivered on Wednesday the 25th.

I wanted to go back and take some more accurate comparison photos from the start of our project:

Before (left) and After (right) — Standing at the front door facing the back of the house. Remember, none of our exterior doors or windows changed to accommodate our remodel.
Before (left) and After (right) — standing in the middle of the living room facing the back corner of the house
Before (left) and After (right) — standing at the back door looking toward the fireplace in the front corner of the house
Before (left) and After (right) — Again standing at the back door, facing the front door
Before (left) and After (right) — standing at the front door turned looking left. This is the same exact vantage point, and a great way to show how we actually closed up some of our living room space to accommodate the new bathroom, laundry, and additional rooms.
Before (left) and After (right) — our master bedroom
Before (left) and After (right) — this one is a little hard to see but the bathroom on the left used to be the only bathroom we had in the house. Now, this is our Master Bathroom utilizing the same window.
Here’s a great panoramic photo of our Master Bedroom with me standing in the corner looking toward the living room (right door) and our master bath (left door) — all of that cabinetry is our closet/clothes storage
We are loving our new appliances and of course this fab stainless steel farm sink. So glad to finally have a farm sink!
