Tell me something small and significant. About you. Tell me your mother collected wolf blankets, figurines and dreamcatchers, tell me your step dad had a red, white and blue hot rod you adored, tell me about how nature camp in the 11th grade was the best summer you ever had, tell me about that one time you drove into a fence (age 12) and acted like nothing happened and got away with it. What’s the name of the first road sign you ever stole, the best prank you ever pulled? Tell me about how the only way you cope is music...what’s the saddest song you ever heard the one that brings you to your knees, what’s the one that inspired you to go on, whats the song you learned to dance to? Who taught you? tell me how you made it through that rough childhood what was it like in the boondocks? Then you went straight to the hood? What a culture shock, I can’t imagine what you thought. what is that scar? Was it fun? It looks meant to be there, a part of you for so long. Do you speed on roads you know? Tell me exactly how fast you go. Have you ever been dancing in the moment at a music show? Have you ever failed at something, like making pretty ice cream cones, been let go from an ice cream trailer by a man named snow? What would be your performance be for a talent show? I want to know about the tiny stones, feathers and wooden boxes you keep. Do you hear jazz in your head on a sunny day? Well as for me it’s always bluegrass. Can you tell me what constellation that is? Do you have a favorite place, that will always keep your heart? Answer a question, just for your own heart.

Excuse the mess. My only wish is, maybe, to be able to tell my whole story.
