Private school and Taxes
Families who send their children to private schools should not be required to pay taxes that support the state education system. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?
It is known that paying taxes to the government bodies will always have a positive impact on the society. Some argue that parents need not pay any taxes if they educate their children in the private schools. Personally, I completely disagree with them.
For a variety of reasons, it is not the right way to let them not pay education tax. The first and foremost reason will be the tax calculation. It will become complex and may require additional staffs for the levy calculations. Secondly, we are all paying taxes for most of the services which we may not use often. For example, People are fortunate enough not to call police and fire brigade, and they would not apply for reduction in tax money. There will be a huge burden for the poor if the rich are not paying state education tax.
It is accepted by many that the state education system helps in the welfare of the society. They will help people by having access to the knowledge resources which in turn will have a significant effect on the literacy rate. A high quality education can only be made possible if the state education is affordable to everyone. Parents of children in private schools will still have the benefits of their own. For example, a company may require a qualified personal which a well-funded private institution can be provide with.
In conclusion, there should not be any concession given to the people who use private education. Infact, imposing tax on private education could possibly improve the state education system.
