Perhaps if the button were given a name that better expressed the purpose?
As UI or UX design, a “clap” button seems to poorly convey any kind of deeper meaning or logic. I shouldn’t have to read a design brief, or an explanatory post, to be able to understand the purpose of a UI element. I ought to ‘speak for itself’.
If this is an ‘updated’ “recommendation” system, calling it ‘clap’ doesn’t convey that meaning. If this is supposed to be about ‘quality’ of the writing being ‘rewarded’, it needs a rethink/redesign to better express that purpose.
