I couldn’t let this go without dropping you some long overdue words of gratitude, Tim. For two reasons: one, for making my life as a JS developer easier every day due to the great resource that moment.js is; and two, for putting these thoughts and feelings out there for the world to read. I can’t thank you enough for the reminder that we ARE human beings, and not machines who merely deploy code and are done with it.

I believe the development world can be very negativity oriented. “What’s broken, what needs fixing?”, or “Well, only 13 tests failing” or “Only 18 issues on Github to deal with”. It’s a negativity countdown that can easily take a huge toll on our sanity and mental health, but we’re really the ones seeing it this way; it should by no means define the quality of our work or the value of our dedication to this craft.

I haven’t done my part, shamefully, because I’ve failed to drop you a supporting thank you word all these years for the tremendous work you’ve done. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
