When I wrote “no one can wreck someone’s marriage against his will,” I did not mean to suggest that the man’s (in this case) current wife was in any way to blame. What I was saying is that we (as a society) feel comfortable labeling “the mistress” as “the homewrecker” as though the cheating husband is completely helpless in the whole affair, as though he had no choice. Many people misinterpreted what I meant by this line, which I assume is a problem with the writing. I apologize for the confusion, and I hope this makes more sense. I wish you peace.
