I have to admit, I’m not a graphic novel reader and am unfamiliar with the form. I’ve never been a visual learner and, in fact, forget pictures all the time. That’s why I rely on a cover designer for all my novels.

I know graphic novels are very popular these days, so if you enjoy that kind of story telling it is a good move.

It is likely that with a graphic novel you don’t need the transitions like you do in a full text novel. You probably also don’t need a lot of description as pictures take care of that. Instead, focusing on the character’s thoughts, feelings, and dialog would be paramount.

But again, I’m not very familiar with this form. You might try to track down Mark Young https://medium.com/@markvictoryoung I haven’t seen posts from him recently, but he seems to be publishing his graphic novels. Another person is Blair Mahoney https://medium.com/@blairmahoney He writes a lot about popular literature in general and seems to know the graphic novels realm as well.

Good Luck with your work!
