Other Ways to Say I Love You
In the English language it seems those three words mean a whole heck of a a lot. It gives very little to encompass all the ways with which we love or kind of love, or love too much. My friend The Finisher today told me that everyday, I tell her I love someone, whether it be one of my patients, my friends, my staff, or my kids. I told her I didn’t realize I said I “loved” someone that much. She said “ You do, but love isn’t the only word. There are so many words and different sentences you use that are so descriptive.” Here are some ways I express my love.
I absolutely adore you. Your presence in my life excites and delight me.
I am so filled with gratefulness that you, someone exactly like you, actually exists in this world.
I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to find you, my twin in the world.
I genuinely just like you. You are the kindest, most loyal, and gentle person I know.
Thank you for being a witness to all that has passed. I need someone to believe me that all that has happened was real. Having someone like you to bear witness, is keeping me alive and sane.
When they all fell away because of all the bad and all they stopped getting, you stayed. You stayed simply because you are my friend, a finisher.
Do you believe me? Are you sure? I can show you the papers, the files, the chat logs? Will you? OK, i get it. I’ll shut up now.
You really didn’t want me to pay for anything? I’m not sure I feel worthy of not having to “earn” your trust or friendship.
My tummy hurts because I’ve laughed so hard tonight.
