Start Now
“If money were no object, and you knew that you would hugely enjoy doing a particular thing or things, what would you do with your days?”
Follow your bliss.
Find your life purpose.
Be the highest version of you.
It’s easy to sit on the sidelines and offer advice.
Really easy to set yourself up as an enlightened one: sharing the wisdom of the ages; a whole bunch of personal development courses you’ve paid a lot of money for; plus the latest self help books you’ve read. That is not a hard thing to do, and the Internet is full of people like that. I’m one of them.
Compared with setting yourself up as a self help guru, it is far harder to live the life you want to live. To transcend the everyday stuff we all have to deal with. When you have a meeting in your diary every moment of the day and, by the time you’ve got home, eaten and watched a bit of TV it’s time for bed. How do you fit your bliss into that?
It’s not easy but it is simple:
Have a plan

Do something every day
I’m not sitting in my ranch in California or in a commune in Camden. I’m on the 6:52, going into the office, along with everyone else.
I’m not checking my email though, getting stressed already about the day ahead. I’m writing this.
It’s not easy but it is simple.
Writing every day is part of my plan to live a remarkable life and encourage others to do the same.
I started — eventually — when I overcame my fears of failure.
I write every day. It keeps me sane. It makes me more creative. It creates opportunities. It is how I follow my bliss. Even when I’m on the 6:52.
The opening question is a very powerful one, which I use a lot. My answers?
1. Create remarkable experiences with family, friends and inspiring people.
2. Explore the world with Isabel to see how different people live.
3. Encourage people to stop living like a zombie and start living a remarkable life
One day I will do all three things all the time. But that will only happen because I’m working towards them.
Start now.
