Eat that Frog with a Pomodoro.
A technique to overcome procrastination.
“Eat that Frog” means to complete the task or work that you have assigned on prior basis, and also you find it difficult to motivate yourself to do it, or if you have more than one tasks to do, pick that one which is something difficult or you are feared of. Because if you do this at first, it’ll give you energy and momentum for the rest of the day.
Pomodoro is a famous technique used to deal with procrastination and to develop a habit of getting things done on time by using time-management strategy. While procrastination is our big hindrance in the way of success and it inhibits us from working with full potential and it became our habit to start work right before deadline.
Procrastination is like a guilty pleasure, one who is going through this knows very well, that he is wasting time to get temporary moments of fun and joy, but he stills continuous to doing it and liking it. Its like one is saying that, ‘I am very busy in doing things, I don’t need to do, in order to avoid doing anything, I’m actually supposed to be doing’.

As I also have a habit of procrastination so I planned to use this technique in order to help myself in starting work on time and also to maximize my working productivity. I take following steps to practice this technique:
Identifying tasks: First of all, I selected four tasks to make them complete, under this technique.
Set timer of 25 minutes: Then set timer of 25 minutes on mobile for each task.
Take measures to make it work: I took necessary steps to eliminate the factors, that can divert my concentration. Like, ask my family to cooperate with me and don’t disturb me during this time slots, turning off WiFi in the cell.
Taking a break: Fixed five minutes to take break, before starting the next task.

Here are the tasks that I’v experienced doing Pomodor technique:
First Pomodoro: Here I gave myself a task to prepare for the test, that was going to be conducted in very next day. So I’d calmed myself down and started to reading the notes with focus. When the timer rang up, I’d almost completed the notes.
5 minutes interval.
Second Pomodoro: Here I brainstormed myself, that helped me in solving the numerical problem that was assigned to me.
5 minutes interval.
Third Pomodoro: Here I gave myself a task to write a good cover letter, in the given time slot of 25 minutes.
5 minutes interval.
Fourth Pomodoro: To complete second and third section of online course, ‘Secret of Getting Things Done’, and I’d almost completed it within the time givin.
15–20 minutes break: Before setting up tasks for next pomodoro technique.
The experience was very good and the technique was proved to be very easy to act upon. In-fact it was quite exciting, because the outcomes were very amazing, as I was able to complete all the tasks within two hours. Before that I thought, all these tasks would take time more than 4–5 hours. To get full command on it, I’ll take it into more practice, at least one or two, those tasks which seem like giant frogs. And I’ll eat that frogs with pomodoro.
