Small acts of kindness can make someone’s day worth while.

No act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted.

Kindness is the act or the state of being kind, being marked by good and charitable behavior, pleasant disposition, and concern for others. It is known as a virtue, and recognized as a value in many cultures and religions. The purpose of this special act is to urge people to be kind to each other, especially those they don’t know, without any specific reason. The philosophy behind doing acts of Kindness is altruism, which is selfless concern for the welfare of others.

Kindness is contagious, it means that if you do some act of kindness with someone, then he or she tends to do some act of compassion with others. Because kindness is a thing which moves in a circle, and if you do it to someone, it’ll obviously going to come back to you one day. No act of kindness, no matter how small is, never wasted.

In addition to this, countless studies from around the world have proven that even the minor acts of kindness can improve our health, boost our mood and make us feel better about ourselves and the world. At times like these, when upsetting events seem to dominate the day’s news, a dose of kindness may be just what the doctor ordered. And it’s not just receiving kindness that can brighten our day. Giving kindness, it turns out, can have an even greater effect on the spirit.

As everybody around us had done some acts of kindness in their lives. Some did as their daily routine, some did when they get chance to do or some creates opportunity to show their compassion to the creatures of the world whether they are humans or animals. So, I also take my part to do some acts of kindness, that seemed obvious to me, but the smile that it put on the recipient's face, made me realize that it was something pleasant for them.
Here are some acts of kindness that I’d done in last 24 hours:

First Act: I used to carry a water bottle with me when I am in university or somewhere else. So on my way to the exit gate, I saw two random girls were in search of water. So I offered them to drink water from my bottle, and they were so thankful to me for this act, as I gave them something precious.

Second Act: On same day, I waited for my fellow, as she was hesitant to walk alone back to the gate. Although she asked me to go, and that she can manage somehow, but still, I waited for her. And she acknowledged this act of mine with gratitude, also it creates a level of trust on me.

Third Act: I started to handshake and saying greetings to the lady security persons, that are appointed at certain points of the university. Whenever I did handshake with them along with a genuine smile, they respond is filled with warmth and gentleness. This small act make them recharged to continue to fulfill their hectic duty.

Fourth Act: Today I surprised my students by giving them special protocol. Teach them on lighter mode, and allowed them to share their thoughts and incidents. As their exams are just finished, so I didn’t give any homework and played Ludo with them. We finished our day with please & excitement and they seemed more willing to work hard for their studies for next time. Looked like, this small act has paid off.

Fifth Act: I was having conversation with one of my Amal fellow, and she was quite dishearten from her progress report. So I gave compliment to her, that “She had came a long way, and I believe in her that she’s going to be among the toppers.” And by receiving just this compliment she was so rejoiced and regain her trust on herself, that I could see on her face that she’s going to achieve this, and this look just made my day.

Kindness starts with you.

Doing small acts of kindness is like gathering fire flies, that light up your life at that times of your life, when you feels surrounded by darkness and can’t able to find a single window to escape. Kindness is a light that dissolves all walls between families, souls and nations. It knew no boundaries, caste, creed, religion, state or country, it stands above all discrimination.

Small acts when multiplied by millions of peoples, can transform the world into a better place. So from now take an oath to yourself that, “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day, someone might do the same for you”.
