My Photo Journal
So here is my two days journey, as I am not a very good photographer and it is my first experience of capturing so many pictures so bear with me (my bad photography skills). As we got this activity from Amal project work, that we have to collect 15–20 pictures of our surrounding, so I went to the university and got some random pictures.
I just went on capturing and challenging my photography skills, and somehow I was able to get some pictures not bad enough to be posted in a journal. I keep looking for something interesting and for the secret messages of nature.
Gaps in my Travel Journey
Don’t litter. It makes the world bitter
Don’t trash your future. Keep your surroundings clean
We often see or hear such words either written on bill boards or on walls, but it is a great tragedy of our nation that we don’t pay much heed to it. Even the young educated generation, don’t bother about it. Although there are dustbins or garbage disposal cans placed at many places but still people have thrown the plastic waste including the disposable glasses, shopping bags or the other wrappers here and there. Plastic pollution causes harm to humans, animals and plants through toxic pollutants. It can take hundreds or even thousands of years for plastic to break down so the environmental damage is long-lasting.
Some Solutions to this problem:
- Use reusable bottles and cups.
- Avoid using plastic straws.
- Bring your own bags for grocery shopping.
- Bring reusable cutlery and containers for take-out food.
- Use non-plastic reusable containers for food storage.
- Shop at second-hand stores.
- Buy more bulk food and fewer packaged products.
Second Issue which I have absorbed is the lack of awareness, people are unaware of the hygienic conditions which lead to a burden of disease. There is a dire need to raise awareness among people. Like the shopkeepers and the small stall holders selling eatables should wear gloves and keep their utensils covered. As it is the monsoon season, so houseflies are quite common and if eatables are left uncovered, then they are easily contaminated which ultimately leads to diarrhea. So, awareness should be spread among masses.
Third issue that I observed was that there are no sign boards in our university, so students face a lot of difficulty in finding their concerned department. So there should be facility of proper guidance for the students and their time can be saved.
