How does the Defy Waitlist Campaign work and how to benefit from it?

After almost a year of grinding through the recent bear market, the Defy App launch is nearer than you think. We will start rolling out the beta version of the app in small batches from July 10. There will be a total of 1750 spots released in 4 batches over a period of 75 days. The app will only be publicly available for others from September 5. The spots to beta access will be decided through the waitlist campaign launching on May 20.

What is The Defy Waitlist?
A waitlist is a list of users, that signs up to be the first to access your new product or service. But Defy’s waitlist is not your ordinary waitlist campaign, it’s an arcade full of quests, games and rewards and giveaways. Every participant will be provided with proper incentives for their activity.

Users will be rewarded with Defy coins by performing various on-chain activities, social quests and by playing games. These coins can then be used to purchase chests and giveaway raffle tickets. Hence, it’s recommended to join as soon as possible as chests are limited and raffles are huge

Chests
There will be 4 types of chests — mythical, legendary, epic and rare chests. Each chest gives you guaranteed Defy Insider NFT and raffle tickets. These chests contain corresponding NFT’s, (i.e), buying a Mythical Chest will reward you with a Mythical Defy Insider NFT. The top-most tiered NFT’s gets access to the app earliest and other in-app benefits. These chests can only be bought once the timer cool-downs.

Raffles
Raffle Tickets is your entry to the $10,000 giveaway. These tickets can be earned by performing various activities or can be bought using the Defy coins. There will be a total of 12 draws, and the prizes will be distributed un-uniformly among them. The schedule and rules to the raffles will be released soon.

Why We Chose the Waitlist Approach?
The waitlist allows us to initiate a step-by-step launch starting from a small cohort of users. This will enable us to observe the user-patterns and ensure that user journey is smooth and top-notch. This also lets us build a very strong community of users overall benefitting the Defy ecosystems growth.

Most importantly, our aim with this campaign is to encourage users to engage in the entire ecosystem and experience the seamless transactions Aptos has to offer. Hence this campaign is aimed at the community to get used to Aptos and its ecosystem products and overall bring in more users into the Aptos blockchain network.
