Animated movies are not only watched by kids but also by adults. Some of you may think that such films are only reserved for kids but you are wrong. Animated movies bring a sense of abstraction that a real-life film won’t be able to portray even with today’s amazing technology. And those of you, who are hiding your love for animated films, it is okay to love what you love. Don’t be pressured into hiding your likes and dislikes.

In fact, I recently binged watched The Despicable Me movie series when I was feeling a little low while wearing my minion pajamas. It definitely elevated my mood. So here I am, listing some of my favorite characters from animated movies. If you haven’t yet watched some of these films, please watch them. I assure you they will bring you comfort, joy, and laughter.

Skipper the Penguin

Skipper is a supporting character in the 2005’s Madagascar but he easily steals the thunder with his ingenious plans although they sometimes fail because his species does not have an opposable thumb. But Skipper is surely a very smart penguin with excellent authority over his penguin crew. Also, who doesn’t love penguins?

Remy

If you are a foodie and you haven’t watched Ratatouille, then you need to. Remy is a rat who loves food and has an insane knack for cooking. A culinary genius, Remy has to struggle to do what he loves. Why? Just because he is a rat.

This film is one of the best-animated films made in the 2000s. In fact, food enthusiasts rushed to get a taste of the special dish Remy makes in the film. Even I cooked it once. Didn’t turn out well though!

Bob the Minion

2010 graced us all with the Minions and 2013 gave us Bob the Minion. Everyone loves Bob. The Despicable Me movie series was a huge hit and rightly so. Gru merch may not be seen but the minion merch is everywhere. From minion phone covers to minion pajamas, Minions rule the cartoon merch section easily. I mean they officially released a minion yellow color, what more do we need for proof.

Shifu

Master Shifu first appears in 2008’s Kung fu Panda. A strict, and wise martial arts teacher, Master Shifu steals the show with his stroke of wisdom and all the training he makes the main character Po go through. The most fun part to watch is Master Shifu losing his calm while teaching Kung-fu to Po.

Buzz Lightyear

Everyone I know has watched Toy Story at least once. If you haven’t, you are seriously missing out. Tom is a delusional plastic toy who genuinely believes he is a space ranger. But we love him still. We also love Woody.

Flynn Ryder

A lot of us had a major crush on Flynn Ryder from the animated film Rapunzel. A handsome thief who falls in love with the princess definitely charmed us all. Although he started off as a selfish, tough guy his character development and his slow attraction towards the princess are just adorable to watch.

Elsa

Of course, I have to mention Elsa here. Frozen took the world by a storm. Disney princess movies were always loved but Frozen had a different storyline than the rest of the princess movies. The princess for a change was not dependent on a kiss from the prince. A kiss from someone who loves her was all she needed to live and it was Anna — her sister. A beautiful story that portrays sisterly love.
