Don’t Take Outcome for Granted

Life doesn't turn out as we expect.

If there is anything I’ve learned from life, then it is that to never put dependency on outcome of any event in future. When you condition the mind to put happiness on any outcome of future event, you end being not happy for any good thing that happens around you.

For example, If you wait for being happy till you earn 100$ a day from your startup, you’ll not put on a smile on your face. This affects other connected things in life. At the end when you reach the point where goal is achieved, at that point you end up raising the bar or you end up not feeling happy anymore. If you never achieve the target then you end up feeling not happy anymore and it affects your personal and social life.

Expectations of outcome brings in anxiousness and worry.

Do your duty sincerely, and do not worry about the outcome. — Bhagwad Gita

Mind gets used to the habit of not being happy.

Life changes with every small improvement that you do in life. If you put focus on outcome too much, you end up being unhappy about lot of things.

Celebrate small success, and If there is nothing to feel happy about, just smile.

It’s good to be workoholic, as long as you respect state of being slow and not being workoholic.

It’s totally resonable to be result oriented. It’s not okay to put your happiness and life on results.
