The dearth of right emotions ..

How often do you feel genuinely happy ?

Humans being humans have emotions. A lot many types of emotions. A few of them positive whereas a lot many of them seem to be negative. We tend to focus on the negative emotions more and let them take hold of our life in a way which does not do justice to our intellect. But again this aspect of our life and how we handle it makes each of us unique.

Much has been said and written about the benefits of thinking and being positive in life. This piece is not about asking you to stay away from negative people and negative energies. While such an ask is good in theory, it is not always practical to implement in day to day life. People invariably find themselves in difficult or tiresome situations and having to confront troublesome or irritating people. So, do not try to avoid them. Instead face them head on but heal yourself later by indulging in activities which spur the right emotions to strongly offset the negative vibes from your earlier encounters.

More often than not people these days are so busy with their day to day routine that they hardly ever take out time during the day to do things which give them genuine happiness. A few minutes spent on stuff you like doing can be the difference between a good day and a not so good one. We all have our shares of ups and downs as well as boring normalcy in our lives. It is up to us to break away and create those regular pockets of time to look forward to which leave us with happiness, joy and satisfaction.
