ITIDA and Udacity offer a free virtual academy to help Egyptian youth gain digital skills and master remote freelance jobs with Freelancer.com. The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) unveiled an online training initiative to scale up Egyptian youth’s tech skills through Udacity. The initiative comes as part of the Egyptian CIT ministry’s ambitious strategy that invests heavily in building the local talent and reinforces the country’s huge and well-educated workforce.
My Journey
I applied to Future Work is Digital (Egypt FWD) initiative at digital marketing track. And after 3 months I graduated from digital marketing track. And I have got certificate Advanced Digital Marketing “Nanodegree Program” form Udacity. At this program I learned how to manage various digital marketing campaigns & techniques, and to think like a freelancer and better attract new customers, as well as maintain a valuable customer base. From here’s my journey started to work as digital marketing specialist freelancer and make money online.
Launch International Freelancer Contest (IFC 1.0)
The best part from FWD initiative when ITIDA, Udacity, and Freelancer.com had got together to launch the first International Freelancing Contest (IFC 1.0) exclusively to the Egypt FWD community. The contest’s main goal was to maximize the exposure of the initiative’s graduates to the global community of employers and to provide employers with sponsored opportunities to benefit from the talents of Egypt’s youth in fields of Web Development, Digital Marketing and Data Analysis. And to equipping freelancers with the core skills needed to advance a successful freelancing career. Web Development which deals with developing programming skills and gain comprehensive knowledge to guarantee the success as a freelancer in web development. Digital Marketing that helps companies to promote their services and products online. Data Analysis that uses analytical and logical reasoning to gain information from the data. To find meaning in data so that the derived knowledge can be used to make informed decisions.
My Results
International Freelancing Contest (IFC 1.0) give me chance to I participated in some of the contests that they provided and I won more than 5 entries. This is how I took my first step to success as freelancer and make money online.
