Life, a learning process
Life is a learning process where mistakes are the teachers. It is a process where we can only become wiser from learning. Sometimes we might have to attract making a painful mistake to learn something important, but after the mistake you have far greater wisdom. Wisdom cannot be bought with money but it can only be acquired through living life. With wisdom comes strength, courage, knowing, and an ever-increasing peace. We should “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” As well said by Michelle Obama “Just try new things. Don’t be afraid. Step out of your comfort zones and soar”
While learning new things the problem I face most are nervousness and negative thoughts like; how can I complete this task, it seem very difficult, I can not do this. And secondly after starting a task the most faced hurdle is time management and procrastination.
Thankfully I got a chance to do an online course named “Learning how to learn” and got the solution to overcome my problems. I find out the way to overcome my nervousness by making myself agree in doing good worry instead of bad worry as good worry provides motivation and focus while bad worry wastes energy. Second way is in a form of exercise or practice of relaxing stomach and then breathing slowly to keep the nerves calms.
The problem of procrastination and time management can be handled by Pomodoro technique, a technique to focus. In this technique a 25 minute alarm is set for doing a task in a calm atmosphere without distraction of any kind like phone calls, social media and messages. We need to focus completely for 25 minutes and after the alarm rings we can reward ourselves in any form of relaxation activity like 5 minutes break, a cup of coffee or tea etc. Moreover we can make weekly list of tasks and everyday task notes as writing next day task list will help us to complete items on our task list.
I have a plan to implement these lessons learnt, in my life to overcome my nervousness and negative thoughts by thinking positively and doing worry in a positive way to motivate myself to start a task like “ Just Start” rule so that I can learn lot more to be a good Human. And I will implement Pomodoro technique for eliminating time management and procrastination issues from my life. I will try my best to follow these rules to become a good and lifelong learner.
