“IT IS NOT THE HAPPY PEOPLE WHO ARE THANKFUL. IT IS THANKFUL PEOPLE WHO ARE HAPPY.”

Gratitude is a thankful appreciation. In fact, it is not only about being thankful to positive responses, but sometimes thinking about the negative and difficult situations and being thankful to the Almighty Lord, for he knows what is the best for us. Gratitude helps to remove all the toxic emotions, envy, hatred and frustration from us. I have always heard that ‘Giving thanks can make you happier’ and now I can feel this that showing gratitude to others can bring a great sense of relief and inner harmony in you. There are a lot of people around us who have had an impact on us in some way or the other. But, most of us usually forget to say thanks, to appreciate and to show some gratitude towards those who made or contributed to make us what we are today.

Every person in this world is influenced by some other person to whom he may get inspired from, who has helped in their difficult times, who were available to them when one needed them— Yes, I am talking about the true mentors! Likewise, my mentor is my younger brother.

He is younger than me but he is wise beyond his years. He has always helped me whenever I asked him or even if I had not asked him, he is always there for me. He had motivated and counselled me in the past when I got depressed and started thinking myself as a failure. He used to give me pieces of advises that have been proved the best ever suggestions. He has actually taught me how to live a happy life without regretting on what I don’t have or complaining about the rejections and failures I had faced. He is a man who has a heart of gold. I have always found him very passionate and dedicated to achieve his goals and thing inspired me a lot. I aspire to be like him.

In return, I just used to say thanks to him by words and never shown some kind of gratitude by an expressive way. This time, I have given special thanks to my younger brother. I have made a gratitude letter for him and gave him in person. His response was amazing. He was so happy and has shown great gratitude to me in response! :)

Here are some of the pictures of the gratitude letter…

The more you thank life, the more life gives you to be thankful for. This is what I have learnt through the giving thanks experience of my life. They say you only live once, but I say you only die once. You live every day. You live each and every single moment of life. What if we start living that single moment showing kindness and gratitude to others and continue the same throughout the life? Life will surely be amazing!
