Seeking God

Deuteronomy 4: 29–30

29But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

30When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the LORD thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice;

If you are truely desperate in life and want answers there is one sure solution. No matter how difficult your situation is or how much trouble you are in or how sick you are or how much debt you have or whatever the situation is.

GOD HAS THE SOLUTION

It may not be a short term fix and it may not be easy but God has the solution.

For example you have just been fired from you work and you have a family to feed. Seek the Lord.

You and your wife are headed for a divorce and there seem no logical way out. Seek the Lord.

You are in pain and there seem to be no logical solution on how to get better or solve your problem. Seek the Lord.

Lets break this scripture up

If you seek the Lord, you will find him

This will look different for everybody some people will go for a walk and some people will study the bible, some people will bow down in worship. However, you choose to seek the Lord if your consistently do it you will eventually find the Lord, he is not a man to turn away a desperate should for what then was the point of calvary.

If thou seek him with all they heart

What is your heart — it is your mind will and emotions. How do you seek the Lord with your mind will and emotions — you love him, you love your neighbours, you love the poor, you love the foreigners, you love widows, you the orphans. You find ways to love him, you find ways to love others.

When thou art in tribulation and all these things are to come unto even in latter days

When hardship hits what are you going to do ? when days get dark and times get dark what are you going to do? when money runs out? When your wife or husband cheat? when you child fails at school? When your child does drugs?

If thou will turn to the Lord thy God and shall be obedient to his voice?

Then you will attend a church, get baptised, attend a small group and read the bible. Then you will find the Lord God in all his majesty.
