The Monaco Blockchain Conference took place late last month, and those in attendance enjoyed a convenient location combined with great conversation and speeches. The conference was on May 31 at the Fairmont Hotel & Twiga in Monte Carlo. A partnership with Private Family Advisors helped make the conference possible. There were 10 other official partners plus 18 sponsors and seven key media partners.

What Happened at the Conference

The Monaco Blockchain Conference explored the groundbreaking industry of blockchain technology, with the goal of building on the strength of 2018. Attendees and speakers at the conference included those in investment funds, high-net-worth investors, family offices, and, of course, the top blockchain projects. The conference lasted an entire day, including the evening. During the event, there were discussions, networking, and pitches.

Speakers Cover Variety of Topics

The highlights of the Monaco Blockchain Conference included speakers from the blockchain funds with the most success. Topics varied, focusing on blockchain in relation to regulations, market entry of institutional funds, market making, capital raising, and investments. Overall, the speakers have sold, bought, and traded more than $2 billion in assets. Their talks covered topics like blockchain investments, market making, and tokenomics.

The speakers included Giuseppe Ambrosio, president of the Monaco Single and Multi-Family Office Association; Athanasios Ladopoulos, CIO of LAPO Blockchain; and Simon Cocking, chief editor and number 1 blockchain advisor for Irish Tech News.

From AmaZix, Chief Legal Officer Dr. Jeppe R. Stokholm and Head of Advisory Jose Macedo both spoke. From Luxochain, CEO and co-founder Davide Baldi spoke, as did CTO and co-founder Roberto Gorini. Other speakers included Marcel Kuhs, CEO of AZHOS, and Xander van Der Heijden, a venture partner with Venture Rock.

Up-and-Coming Blockchain Companies Also Attended

In addition to the above speakers, the Monaco Blockchain Conference also featured blockchain companies with exciting ideas. These companies presented their ideas to the attendees, who together control over $50 billion annually in investment. They also competed for a prize worth $50,000 of investment.

Conference Included Networking Opportunities

Attendees at the Monaco Blockchain Conference also got to enjoy networking opportunities unlike those that are typically available. The first major networking event was the Investor Match-Up Lunch. The conference organizers strategically made the seating arrangements, so guests were seated by investors with portfolio interests that match their business sector. The lunch also included amazing views of Monte Carlo thanks to its location on the Horizon Deck.

Further networking occurred at the end of the day. At this point, the attendees moved to the Rooftop at Nikki Beach for a tasting of whiskey and champagne. This event also included the opportunity to mingle freely and discuss ideas, investments, and more.

To round out the networking, the Monaco Blockchain Conference hosted a luxurious networking party at Twiga. This included music, an open bar, and opportunities for networking. This party included surprise special guests and guests from Top Marquee, the most exclusive supercar show in the world.
