A classroom environment is one where the students feel as comfortable talking and asking the teacher questions, as they do communicating with their friends. I know for a fact that I have learned a lot more from my friends than I have learned from certain teachers/professors because I am was in a less stressful environment when talking with friends in that low-stress environment makes it easier to be wrong or make mistakes.

I know many have told me to demonstrate that I’m the one in charge of the classroom, strong, and discipline for students to respect me. I understand the importance of having discipline in terms of behavior management however I want to offer that classroom environment that you are describing. I want students to feel that family connection, an environment where they know that their educator is a human being as well; that also makes mistakes and learns from and with the students. I want them to feel I’m there for them. Thank you for supporting ideas like this, that I know for sure could make a difference in every child.
