One way to get out of my own comfort zone is to look at my situation, imagine it as a do or die situation, has to get done, all will fail, life is on the line and then generate ideas to change that, sort of a reverse comfort zone.

In a way this is being aware of time use, not wasting time which can be a driver. Creating a determination with just that and what you need to do, can a push forward.
