Maker’s Empire Pilot Facts

Maker’s Empire ran a pilot program in March / April 2014 with Australian Schools to develop and evaluate their 3D design tablet app and lesson plans for 3D Printing.

The Maker’s Empire lesson plans delivered learning outcomes aligned with the Australian National Curriculum. Teachers and students were not required to learn CAD or have specialist technical knowledge.

The lessons covered:

  • investigation of 3D printed objects
  • design using Maker’s Empire 3D design tablet app
  • live 3D printer demonstration
  • 3D printing worksheet.

  • Westminster School
  • Good Shepherd Lutheran Primary School

The pilot also hosted special guest, Stephan Knoll, Member of Parliament South Australia.
