Thank you for the link. I also started out with hyperthyroidism as a child. Because I was so young, the doctors medicated me for one year and then stopped the treatments once they saw improvement. Then 20 years later I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. This was in 2003. My doctor put me on me on Synthroid and I took it until I got pregnant with my first child. For some reason, my pregnancy seemed to help regulate my thyroid. However, a year after giving birth I had to be medicated again. Again, my thyroid regulated with my second pregnancy. I went 3 years without medication. Now I just started showing symptoms again…rapid weight gain, fatigue, and the other bothersome ailments that come along with it. I just saw a doctor here in China and they gave me Levothrox. However, I am in search of some traditional Chinese medicine or therapy that might be more healthy.

Again, thank you for your input. I will also look into the dandelion because it might be very helpful to me right now in keeping my system cleansed. And the valerian root might prove to be useful as well. I’ll continue my research.
