Can you avoid acne at different locations of your face?
Deficiencies in the body can show up on the face in form of acne, dark circles, and scars.
Dermatologists suggest the location of acne on the face can explain its cause..
i) Forehead- Lack of hydration and indigestion cause acne on the forehead. Maximize water intake and avoid drinks that contain caffeine (soft drinks, beverages).
ii) T-zone — Acne in the T-zone indicate a high calorie diet that results in liver problems. Eat green leafy fruits and vegetables and avoid oily stuff.
iii) Around the eyes- Acne and dark circles around eyes suggest that the kidneys are not functioning optimally. Drink eight ounces of water every day to remain hydrated.
iv) Upper cheeks- Breathing in polluted air can cause acne on the upper cheeks. Those who smoke and have lung problems generally suffer from acne on the cheeks.
v) Lower cheeks- Oral infections, poor dental hygiene result into acne on lower cheeks. Follow appropriate dental care that includes brushing twice, flossing, etc.
vi) Nose- Hypertension and stress can cause acne on the nose. Ensure you take a balanced diet. Reduce salt consumption and eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
vii) Ears- Consumption of excessive salt and caffeine-containing products cause dehydration. Breakouts on the ears suggest poor kidney health. Drink eight glasses of water per day and reduce salt and caffeine intake.
viii) Chin- Digestive problems lead to acne on the chin. Refrain from consuming oily food and stick to healthy eating habits.
