This is amazing — the bit about cooperative vs preemptive multitasking was great. The mention of the mach kernel, the OLE stuff, multiple videos playing at the same time!! The demo with the GUI generator is amazing — way ahead of VB6 et al years later. And the VMs were so ahead of their time. The credit for GUIs to XEROX PARC is hilarious, and smalltalk gets name dropped in there too! Also that’s such a ridiculously long live demo, and very few things went wrong. Nerves of steel!
