Engineering offices

Jesper Klingenberg Office rules are definitely required, and I agree you can limit the distractions by having a good office culture.

Since I wrote this post, we’ve actually moved into our new office — which is a 250m2 6-room apartment-style office that holds two to six people per room — and we’re already feeling much more productive by being split into different physical rooms. There are no visual distractions, no accidental (but well-meant) “hey”-interruptions, no background noise from discussions, laughter or small-talk. It’s much more private and it really does help your mind reach deep work much more frequently — and for hours — which is where true progress happens.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
