Google Thought The Key to Effective Management Was Technical Expertise

I’m glad Google did this research. Many people look to them for leadership in these areas and would be misguided into believing that being technical means you will be a good leader.

These aren’t news to anyone else, but I am surprised how the “Eight Habits of Highly Effective Google Managers” are considered a shock to the former VP of People Operations.

Shouldn’t it have been a case of “Finally! This is what i’ve been saying all along” :)
