Let’s jump in. SEO is the key :)

Being on the first page of Google is extremely important because it puts your business in front of new customers. If you had to choose between the main street of a town or a side street that gets almost no traffic, which one would you choose??

SEO visibility increase: 50K

Our SEO Strategy

My SEO strategy down into four pillars:

  1. Find Keywords (Keyword Research)
  2. Onpage optimization
  3. Link building
  4. Analytics

Step1: Find Keywords

I use Google Search Console. It’s the only place to get search engine optimization information about your website directly from Google. Search Analytics will tell you a lot of useful data about how your website performs in Google Search.

Here are the queries (i.e. keywords) that drive traffic to our site. As expected, most are branded keywords. But the real value of this display is the diving into the data beyond branded queries and seeing the fruits of your content creation efforts. You can click the arrow on the right side of the query and view the page that the query refers to.

Ahrefs Organic Keywords

For additional keywords I used tools:

  • Google autosuggest
  • Ubersuggest

Step2: Onpage optimization

I conducted an audit of the SEO shop, and then started from the optimization of the entire store. An important factor in the optimization was the improvement of title tags, description, and of course the use of the greater potential of keywords in H1 headers. SEO optimization is a continuous process, so in a matter of months I have tested many options and combinations of tags.

Activities that have been done:

  1. Title and description tags optimization
  2. H1 & H2 header optimization
  3. Improved site speed
  4. Fixed 404 pages
  5. Add unique product descriptions

Step3: Link building

Link building is really hard.

Link acquisition is a manual process that is ongoing, forever. My favorite description of link building came from former Googler Matt Cutts, who defined it as “sweat, plus creativity.”

Because securing links is so difficult — and we knew we needed links to grow traffic — we sought to establish passive link acquisition channels to amplify all our link-building efforts.

Here are the 5 strategies I used to build links:

  • Directory submissions
  • Blog commenting
  • Forum account link building
  • Weekly roundups
  • Resources/links pages
  • Content marketing

CONCLUSION:

For 10 months we managed to get 45 000 visits from Google.pl search engine. This translated into very high sales from this channel. We also achieved a very high CTR click-through rate of 7.77%. Average position is 10.2.

We managed to position the shop on very competitive phrases, e. g. women’s clothes (odzież damska), women’s dresses (sukienki damskie), which can be found on the first page of Google.pl.
