Malcolm is a passionate technologist and has worked in technology roles since 1979. From the early days of home computers with Commodore Business Machines until the present he has worked with cutting edge technology. Most recently this has been through assisting customers adopt Amazon Web Services (2010-) and has acquired 2 x professional and 2 x specialist certifications. He joined Softcat PLC to lead the technical development of their AWS practice.

Particular interests are DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Networks and Security. His opinions on DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (and on most things!) are to "Keep It Simple" and "Just Because You Can Doesn't Mean You Should".
