Five random acts of Kindness
Kindness seems to be a lost art these days. I often searched for the evidence of kindness, but every where people speak only about themselves, i get that, i want that, am i look good, how i can get that position and all that.
Everyone benefits from showing kindness to others. Research has consistently shown that humans feel happier when they are performing acts of kindness. By finding ways to be good to others, you are creating opportunities for self-growth through this mutually beneficial exchange. Being kind to others does not mean that you have to sacrifice time or give away all your money. It is all about incorporating small and caring gestures into your everyday life.
I tried some of the acts which some one might call it act of kindness or not, but they gave inner satisfaction, and that is what the main objective stands for.
Compliment a parent on how well-behaved their child is
An uncle in my neighbor, when ever meets me, he used to say that take care of your small brother and sisters (Their sons and daughters) too. They are not paying attention in studies and all that. Please keep an eye on them too. And every time i responds like, Don’t worry uncle, i am in contact with them. They are exactly on the right track. They are showing excellence in their exams so not to worry for any thing. They will make you feel proud one day. Ever time in response, i saw a smile on his face with prayers for me over this little sympathy or satisfaction from my side.
Cook a meal for a friend not feeling well
I am good at cooking, learnt this while living most of my life in hostels so have to develop this. In early time, it was not tasty always, but now i can say it loud and clear in my favor. I have a colleague, who actually belongs to Islamabad and went with me on a project training out of station. Yesterday, he was not feeling well, i checked his temperature and it was 102. I took him to the doctor and took the medicine. As it was not possible for him to eat solid that time, i cooked some soft eatables for him and after that he took medicine and in the morning he was feeling alright, infect much better, at least there was no fever that time.
Saying THANK YOU to Boss for helping me to overcome the design issue of DASU Dam
On the same project on which i cooked food for my friend, when i was working on the designing of the DASU Dam along with some colleagues, we were facing some problems related to the position of the reservoir. We contacted to our team lead Sir Ahsan Mujtaba, and he solved the issue in just 10 minutes. After that we thanked him, and his words were like, No problem beta, you are here for learning and we are here to guide you, we have been in your age. You can ask, anything, anytime.
Helping an old man
Today, when i was coming back to Lahore from project site, rain started as we entered in Lahore. In rain, an old man was standing on a bus stop waiting might be for bus but due to no roof of the station, it was difficult for him to stay save and to keep himself dry. As i was in my own vehicle, i asked him, where he is going? Luckily he was going on the way where i was going. I dropped him on the way and Alhamdulillah received prayers.
Giving eatable to the Guard
As i was in front of my home, the guard came to me and said Sir jee kithy chaly gae soo, udas ho gaye saan tuhady bina. I meet him and gave him the sandwich which i took from the bakery to eat on the way but could not. He was said NO, but on my insist, he kept the half and gave half to me and i eat that with him standing there.
When we are kind, we have more energy and feel better about ourselves and the world we Live in.
