Richard,

Currently my all of my investments (outside of tax advantaged retirement accounts) are in index funds. Don’t worry, I already intend to re-balance and incorporate some bonds. That said, I’ve got a couple questions for you:

  1. Are there any down downsides or risks specific to index funds? I already know they are a great investment vehicle, but I’m curious if you came across some potential pitfalls?
  2. I listen to Tim Ferriss’ podcast and started using Wealthfront from his recommendation. It uses Vanguard as it’s financial backend, but adds some fun algorithms on top of it. I was curious if you’ve heard of it and if you had an opinion on it vs “raw” Vanguard?

Thanks again for posting, keep it up!
