Sunday night was a big night for storytellers. Stories from all around the globe were in the spotlight at the annual Academy Awards. Last fall in Colorado, I had the privilege of meeting both the director and the lead actor of “Parasite,” the first international non-English film to ever win the Oscar for Best Picture.

It all started with a talk six weeks prior to the event. The closing speaker at the 2017 TEDxMileHigh event, David Barron was convincing enough for me to request a day off from work and to follow the cloud reports leading up to 8/21. It was like winter all over again when I’m usually chasing snow reports for that magical ride in the mountains. Only this time, I had no idea what I was preparing for.
