The National September 11 Memorial

My Trip to New York Summer 2015

This is my first entry at medium, I hope to deliver my story to everyone with lots of pictures. So I have traveled from Houston to NYC for a #smashingconf in June. Arrived late at night the weekend before the conference, went straight to bed since I had a long work day at the office and then the flight.

So the next day my friend Anar (@anarakhund)and Nigar (@fatalin) showed me New York’s coolest places.

Woke up in the morning took the train to go see the NYSE and the #bull. We have arrived a cool looking subway station. That has a little european touch to it.

Next stop was by the NYSE.

After that we proceeded to the 9/11 Memorial. I have been in your in the past when there was no building, back in 2005, so now I wasnted to see what has changed.

So in the evening after walking around we went to Azerbaijani Restaurant in Brooklyn called Old Baku. I felt like I was back home. Waiter approached us and asked in Azerbaijani language about what we would like to eat or drink. So since I haven’t had a lot of these things in a long time. I order a lot of delicious things, pickled vegetables, kutabs, sach kebab etc.

Next day I had to move into my hotel Yotel. It was a really modern hotel, with a pretty good view for $239.

Interesting statues inside the hotel.

And then there was NYC, famous Times Square.

Macys and H&M Stores. #macys #h&m
