Abracadabra

Word creates world. Abracadabra is just like life. Either you say Abracadabra smilingly or do the action silently just like the protagonist of the movie –‘Life is Beautiful’.

My elder dad taught me ‘Thankyou‘ when I was probably 4–5 years old. My dad taught me to promptly say ‘Sorry’ and my boyfriend taught me the magic word ‘Please.’ I have replaced — ‘Should have’ and ‘have to’ with ‘Want’. And ‘But’ with ‘And’. I don’t know who taught me Abracadabra. No magician for sure. Abracadabra in Hebrew means — “I create what I speak”

Being a writer, I focus on learning new words daily. How cool of me! And the song ‘Feeling Good’ by Nina Simone or ‘Love Me Do’ by Beatles — have limited vocabulary. What astonishes me is the power and importance of being true to oneself, being genuine in one’s effort! Just enjoy and feel the words as one pour thoughts, and seek beauty in simplicity. Why complex the simple things? Can my words stop and turn negative thoughts into positive thoughts?

Bible says in the beginning was the word and the word were with God and the word was God. Rig-Veda has a similar aphorism in Sanskrit — In the beginning was Brahman, with whom was the word and word was Supreme Brahman (Supreme Reality or God). Who is the teacher with unlimited knowledge of all times? The answer is Abracadabra — I create what I speak. The God is with in us. God is in our words. Let’s create a beautiful world with the power of beautiful words.

Word creates thoughts. Language is a weapon to communicate our thoughts. What matters most — the language or thought? An expletive or curse words in any language reflects upon our low level of thoughts only — it may be our anger or fear or frustration. In love the expletive never arises in heart. It’s something else. We relish happiness and contentment with silence — when heart is full, words are few.

Ok is the most spoken word in the world and OM is the most powerful of the all word. We play with the words like a word war — because everybody wants to be heard and acknowledged. We don’t delve into the fact that being born as human is the biggest acknowledgment because we are blessed with an intellect that distinguishes us from an animal or birds or a different species.

Why there is a fight? Are we historians or researchers? Invite those who are burdened with degree to do the work and carry on speaking and enjoying the music of abracadabra.

Centuries ago — knowledge and learning passed from generation to generation from word of mouth till print media was invented. Now we have tablets. We have more than billon books today. How many online books, movies, songs and websites will be their by the end of 2050? Can you read all the tweets written till date in this very life? And what you will get by reading them? Mindset of the other people, language used by other people — keywords — trends — happening — breaking news…

This sounds more like a market where everyone is selling words.

So, who is actually chilling and enjoying life? The one who is listening to the birds chirping in the morning and watching that first ray of sun lighting up the sky and that human is for sure relishing the silence.

Where does the past exist? And where does the future exist? Only present moment exist. Both, past and future exist in words. In reality we live in a moment, now. Only this moment is real rest everything exists in words. That’s the power of words. They can create and they can destroy. Marry me, divorce, awesome, disgusting, I do, I love you, leave me alone — are expressions of emotions and they exist in the thoughts in the form of words. Our desires exist in words. News exists in words. History exists in words. Education exists in word. World exist in words.

The right armor is a few righteous words in the dictionary. If we invest our time in building a strong vocabulary and ignore soaring in mind-full conscious thoughts — what kind of power we will have? OM is simple and extremely powerful. And is simple — it connects whereas ‘But’ blocks. ‘And’ makes us think positive, be courageous and hardworking. ‘But’ provides us negative thinking. We brood over doubt, fear, anger, frustration and non action.

Words are swords and words are flowers. No matter how tough or big the war is, the end result is always a battlefield with the barren land holding the butchered bodies, soulless living creatures breathing somehow only to die.

We want gardens. Beautiful gardens to play with our children and families. Awesome gardens, perforating with unconditional love. Please, it’s important to pour our hearts with beautiful words so when we speak — the incense of every word creates an equivalent musical rhythm in the heart of the listener. This is inspired by the aphorism of saint Kabir –

Speak such words, sans ego’s ploy

Body remains composed, giving the listener joy.

Hope our words will soothe all.

Abracadabra.
