ABSENCE

Eight years now,and though I am standing strong,my heart misses him somewhere,his thoughts make me tremble.The only adult male I ever trusted.

I learnt his love was unconditional.

I learnt what eternal love is.

I learnt my house was unlocked without him.

I learnt that my father was worth more than a hundred school masters.

I learnt what absence actually is.

Pretty ladies out there,I’m sure you’d find your man one day, but no man could ever protect you the way your father did.

YES I was a pearl inside an oyster,his arms,his warmth,his voice can never be forgotten.

I still wish he would sit and wait for me on his chair,while I return back home,just the way he did before.
