Once there was a girl who dreamed of travelling, independence, power, and freedom. In her early youth, her job sated that appetite, she traveled extensively, experienced diverse cultures, met wonderful people and delivered successful projects at work. With time, she yearned for marriage and children and happily tied the knot. It brought her immense peace, harmony, and happiness. It completed her circle of life.

Every day, while she filled her heart with warmth, support and love from her family and especially her beautiful baby, she longed for more. She ached for ambition, direction, and a purpose; she missed her younger self. Her job engagement turned monotonous and gave way to an easier exit. Her skills were no longer sought after or valuable enough. In the professional world, she felt stranded, misplaced and disoriented but still hesitated to succumb to an average job. Her life was now that of complete dependence, #noincome, #newmother, #depression #newcity, #nofriends. Her life had changed.

Until one day, after trawling the internet for many months, she stumbled upon the idea of #digitaleducation. Sounds very unassuming at first, but with all the IT unicorns dismissing their employees, this was a chance to acquire new talent and be a candidate in the 21st-century race

A subject that was completely and even remotely unrelated to her past work projects. She wanted to pursue Digital Marketing at #Udacity, the reasons for this choice? — #noprequisites, #creative, #psychology, #evolutionary, #fun, #challenging.

Because of that, she found a direction. She slowly limped back to her confident self. She was revived. She was productive, she got time with her family, she was learning. She studied diligently every day until one day, she landed a fantastic job (based on her previous experience)! Great company, awesome position, good money.

Her mind went into chaos because now she must choose between the job and something that makes her feel useful. For everyone else, it was an obvious choice — the job.

She chose.

And she chose, not for a passion or a dream or gave it all up for that one big fantasy or any such profound thing. She simply chose what made her happy → Learning, Working, Family, Digital Marketing, #freshstart and all that was possible with a #nanodegree at Udacity. It is a new path, with new challenges and new opportunities.

Ever since then, she is at peace again.
