Oil and Water

Life can be hard, it’s true,

Sometimes family feels like glue,

But in my world, it just won’t do,

Like oil and water, we’re split in two.

They say family’s a blood-strong tie,

But in my heart, it’s just a lie.

We’re together, yet so apart,

A puzzle missing its truest part.

But there’s one light, shining so bright,

Mom, in your love, everything’s right.

Your hugs, your smile, make my world light,

In your arms, I find my might.

Around me, others just don’t blend,

Their love feels fake, just pretend.

But yours, Mom, so real and kind,

In your heart, true love I find.

So, in this world, tough and bare,

Where real love is truly rare,

Your love, Mom, is beyond compare,

With you, I’ve got everything there.
