ROHINGYA ROHINGYA — TRAGIC STORY

The Rohingya people are a stateless Indo-Aryan ethnic group who predominantly follow Islam and reside in, Myanmar — Burma.

Before the Rohingya genocide in 2017, over 740,000 fled to Bangladesh, an estimated 1.4 million Rohingya lived in Myanmar.

They are described by journalists and news outlets as one of the most persecuted minorities in the world!

The Rohingya have been subjected to decades of persecution and human rights abuses by the Myanmar government, including mass killings, rape, and forced displacement.

In 2017, the Rohingya refugee crisis was one of the largest and fastest movements of people in recent history, with over 700,000 Rohingya fleeing to Bangladesh to escape the violence.

The Rohingya are resilient people, but they continue to face discrimination and hardship. They are denied citizenship in Myanmar, and they have limited access to education, jobs, and health care. The Rohingya crisis is a reminder of the importance of human rights and the need to protect all people from persecution.

* The Rohingya language is closely related to Bengali.

* The Rohingya have a rich culture and history, which dates back centuries.

* The Rohingya are predominantly farmers, but they also work in a variety of other occupations.

The Rohingya people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. They have the right to live in peace and security, and they should be allowed to return to their homes in Myanmar.
