Hi I’m not sure what you’re getting at here? Are you agreeing it’s a woman’s right to decide what she does when pregnant? Are you saying all terminations are wrong? Are you a mother? Have you ever found yourself pregnant after using contraception which is 99% effective? Someone will be that 1%. They maybe 16 years old, they may have 4 kids already, single parents, not able to cope emotionally or financially to carry that bundle of cells to term?
I can’t speak for every women but I value all life. I happen to think my dogs life and any sentient being’s is as important as mine. I had a termination, I was in an abusive relationship 30 years ago, I agonised over that decision, it wasn’t fair to bring a child into an abusive relationship I was trying to get out of! Did I shrug it off and think nothing of it? Absolutely not I still grieve over that decision but it was mine to make, my body, my life, my decision!
I’m a mother to 3 kids with 3 different dads that all left me and them. Me ok, their kids? Wrong! It happens and it’s us women that are left as single parents.
Child 1 schizophrenic, child 2 autistic, child 3 special educational needs.
I love them all unconditionally and I’ve fought for all the help they have needed and still need, on my own. It’s not easy, I gave up a good career to be a carer for my autistic child, now 21.
I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make, everyone is allowed an opinion but every woman’s circumstances are different and they have a right to decide what’s best for them.
