I’LL HAVE TO RUN

(Is it worth it?)

I might have fallen, broken and hurt,

But to survive I’ll have to run.

It doesn’t matter if my dreams bleed to death,

But to fulfill other’s dreams I’ll have to run.

I might be slow at every life’s turn,

But to catch up with everyone I’ll have to run.

It doesn’t matter if I have to sacrifice my peaceful journey,

But to complete other’s journeys I’ll have to run.

I might be feeling dejected and low,

But to earn my bread and butter I’ll have to run.

It doesn’t matter if my personal targets have become senseless,

But to achieve other’s sensible targets I’ll have to run.

I might be rejected every now and then,

But to keep on trying I’ll have to run.

It doesn’t matter if I have to shatter my plans into pieces,

But to make other’s plans work I’ll have to run.

From the day I am born I am just running,

But for what, I am yet to find the meaning.

It doesn’t matter if I am tired of aimless running,

But in the eyes of world I’ll have to keep on running.

I might want to stop now,

And I wish to sleep well O’Lord.

I just desire to rest in peace in end,

But before that I’ll have to just run, run and run.

(Inspired by the daily lives we lead. Look at the fast pace of our lives. We hardly have time for ourselves. We hardly think about doing things that make us or people around us happy. What are we running for? Is it MONEY? Is it POWER? Or is it STATUS? We might get all of it but what we will never get is PEACE AND HAPPINESS. Think about it!)
