Thank you, Robin. I wish that I would have known about the PMPS private group while I was recovering and trying to understand nerve regeneration and lymphedema. There’s definitely a gap between surgery and recovery. I recall many complaints in other forums where patients felt disconnected from their surgeons to ask about issues like lymphedema and nerve regeneration and their only source for information was a physical therapist. Educating patients prior to surgery about what they can expect for recovery must be part of the Breast Cancer Patient Education Act.
