When my brain started combining the complexity of being Black in America with the real world proposal of wandering and exploration that is designed into the gamplay of Pokemon GO, there was only one conclusion. I might die if I keep playing.

Warning: Pokemon GO is a Death Sentence if you are a Black Man.

This must be a joke post. How does it make sense to pull the race card on this app. What is your point? Regardless of color, race, etc. EVERYONE is potentially in some sort of danger when they’re out and about. Really it feels more like you took the opportunity of some recent events to make yourself relevant, but i hope not.

You don’t even need to be black to live in a city full of gangs or crooked cops. Walking back and forth on this block trying to catch a jigglypuff will certainly raise suspicions, and possibly put you in danger whether you’re black, brown, white, purple whatever…

Anyway life is too short to be afraid not do what you like. For sure continue to inspire and spread positive messages, but please don’t go around fear mongering. It doesn’t help anything.
