Excellent perspective. The idea that we can discuss a subject like this without emotions is impossible. Emotions are how we experience the world and relate to each other. They have to be part of the discussion.

If you tried to just strip away emotion and speak to data, it would be painfully clear that non-whites suffer from the consequences of bias still. People aren’t having that discussion either.
